Making a Difference to the Minnesota IT Community

The Minnesota IT Workforce Collaborative is a statewide network of volunteers from IT Industry, Business, Education, Training, and Workforce Development communities. We are regular people working together to Close the IT Talent Gap.

What’s the IT Talent Gap? It’s where great IT jobs go unfilled and leave the state.  It’s also where talented professionals are forced out of the job market because their skill sets don’t match current industry needs.

The MITWC monitors and reports local changes in IT employment from both an employee and employer perspective. We use this information to identify and develop statewide strategies and local initiatives that do two things:

• Build the IT skills of the Minnesota’s workforce

• Meet the labor needs of Minnesota’s IT Industry

Our mission is to create new opportunities that allow individuals and businesses to prosper - to advance Minnesota into the top ten of U.S. labor markets for companies that create IT products and services and/or rely on extensive IT operations to support their businesses.
