We make a difference to the landscape of IT in Minnesota. Our volunteers have spearheaded initiatives which brought funding, outreach to high school students, and researched crucial business concerns to address.
Success Stories
The Collaborative itself is a success story. As was recently stated, "The ITMNWFC is a template for the way initiatives should develop." From the F.I.R.S.T. Grant acquisition (which included a cluster study, a key element often neglected in grant proposals) to the initiation of taskforces to drive ideas into viable projects, the Collaborative has taken the right steps to promote engagement by and with key IT stakeholders. Initial success stories include the FIRST Grant acquisition, Discovering IT, and the Employer Survey.
Moving Ideas into Reality
Volunteers generate ideas which the Collaborative's "Opportunity Identification" committee researches and the "Strategy & Accelerator" group helps to expand. Viable ideas earn a project team with a leader and taskforce to launch the initiative.
